こんにちは、メカ丸です。今回は、広島県三原市にある老舗の酒蔵「醉心山根本店」が製造する日本酒「醉心」の「サケカップ」についてご紹介します。

Hello, this is Mekamaru. This time, we would like to introduce “Yizushin Sake Cup” produced by Yizushin Yamane Honten, a long-established sake brewery located in Mihara City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan.

「サケカップ」とは、醉心の中でも最も手軽に楽しめる商品で、180mlのカップ入りの日本酒です。原料米は広島県産の酒造好適米を使用し、精米歩合は65%と高めに設定しています。そのため、味わいはやや辛口でキレがありますが、後味はすっきりとして飲みやすいです。冷やしても温めても美味しくいただけますが、個人的には常温で飲むのがおすすめです。香りは控えめで、料理の邪魔をしません。

The “Sake Cup” is the most convenient and enjoyable product of Yizushin, and comes in a 180ml cup. It is made from Hiroshima Prefecture’s sake brewing rice, and the rice polishing ratio is set at a high 65%. As a result, the taste is slightly dry and sharp, but the aftertaste is clean and easy to drink. It can be served cold or warm, but we personally recommend drinking it at room temperature. The aroma is subdued and does not interfere with food.

醉心山根本店は、1860年に創業した歴史ある酒蔵で、日本画の巨匠・横山大観画伯に「醉心のお酒は一つの芸術だ」と評されたこともあります。

Yizishin Yamane Honten is a historical sake brewery founded in 1860, and was once described by the master of Japanese painting, Taikan Yokoyama, as “Yizishin’s sake is an art”.

醉心の特徴は、超軟水で仕込んだことにあります。超軟水とは、ミネラル分がほとんど含まれていない水のことで、醉心山根本店では広島県中央部の鷹の巣山山麓から湧き出る水を使用しています。この水で仕込むことで、酵母がゆっくりと醗酵し、芳しい香りとまろやかな味わいを生み出します。

The characteristic of Yizyshin is that it is brewed with ultra soft water. Yizishin Yamane uses water that comes from the Takanosuyama mountains in the center of Hiroshima Prefecture. By brewing with this water, the yeast slowly ferments and produces an aroma and a mild flavor.
